Kia’s updated electric SUV arrives with a larger battery, 663 km range, and AWD – Starting at Rs 65.90 lakh.
The 2025 Kia EV6 is an all-electric compact sedan that combines sleek design with high performance. It features redesigned front and rear fascias, standard LED lighting, and offers alloy wheel options ranging from 19 to 21 inches. The high-performance GT trim boasts up to 641 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft. of torque in launch mode, along with available synthetic suede-trimmed sport bucket seats.
Charging is notably efficient, with the EV6 capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes at a 350kW station, and in 1 hour and 16 minutes at a 50kW station.
The interior is spacious and practical, featuring a dual-screen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a host of driver-assistance features. The EV6 also supports fast charging with a maximum DC fast-charging rate of about 225 kW.
For the 2025 model year, the EV6 has updated front and rear exterior styling, a slight increase in overall body length, larger battery pack options, improved range, more power for the GT model, additional sound deadening materials for a quieter ride, a reinforced frame to meet stricter safety standards, and flush door handles with automatic deployment as standard.
In terms of market availability, the EV6 has been released in various regions including Europe, North America, Australasia, Southeast Asia, and Mexico, with manufacturing for most North American variants expected to move to Kia’s West Point, Georgia assembly plant for the 2025 model year.
However, it’s important to note that Consumer Reports has recently withdrawn its recommendation for the 2025 Kia EV6, citing predicted reliability concerns related to the charging and electrical systems.
The 2025 Kia EV6 has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹65.90 lakh. This updated model features a larger 84 kWh battery pack, offering an ARAI-certified range of 663 km on a single charge. The EV6 is available in a single GT Line AWD variant and comes in five color options: Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Grey, Runway Red, and Yacht Blue Matte.
