Maruti Suzuki XL6 2025
Combining style, space, and smart features, the updated Maruti Suzuki XL6 2025 continues to lead the premium MPV segment in India.
The Maruti Suzuki XL6, introduced as a more premium alternative to the Ertiga, has carved a unique niche for itself in India’s MPV market. With the 2025 update, the XL6 brings a refined design, upgraded features, and improved technology to further elevate its appeal among urban families and professional buyers looking for a stylish and spacious vehicle.
Retaining its signature six-seater configuration with captain seats in the middle row, the new XL6 continues to prioritize comfort and practicality. The 2025 model receives subtle yet impactful exterior updates. The front fascia now features a sharper chrome-accented grille, revised LED headlamps with DRLs, and a more sculpted bumper for a bolder road presence. The rear gets new LED tail lamps with a smoked effect and a refreshed tailgate design. The dual-tone color schemes have been extended to include newer shades like Urban Red, Celestial Silver, and Midnight Blue paired with a black roof, giving the MPV a sportier character.
The alloy wheels have also been upgraded to new precision-cut 16-inch diamond-cut designs that lend a more dynamic look. Roof rails and body cladding continue to highlight the crossover-inspired styling that differentiates the XL6 from typical MPVs. Maruti’s design team has focused on enhancing the XL6’s urban appeal while maintaining its practicality-driven silhouette.
Inside, the cabin continues to be one of the strongest points of the XL6. The 2025 version features a dual-tone black and tan interior theme with soft-touch materials on the dashboard and doors. The seats now come with ventilated front functionality, and the second-row captain chairs offer improved cushioning and sliding range for enhanced legroom. The third row remains comfortable for two passengers, making the XL6 an ideal choice for long-distance travel with family.
In terms of technology, the 2025 XL6 comes equipped with a larger 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, now compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system offers OTA updates, voice assistant, and an onboard navigation experience. The addition of a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system boosts both convenience and safety.
Under the hood, the XL6 continues with the 1.5-liter K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine, now refined to meet the latest BS6 Phase-2 emission norms. It delivers around 103 bhp and 137 Nm of torque, ensuring a balanced mix of efficiency and performance for both city and highway usage. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters. For 2025, the automatic variant has received improved calibration for smoother shifts and better fuel efficiency.
Maruti has also enhanced the ride quality by making slight changes to the suspension setup. The XL6 now glides over potholes with more composure while retaining its high-speed stability. Noise insulation has been improved with additional damping material in key areas, resulting in a quieter cabin. The MPV’s high ground clearance of 180mm ensures it remains unfazed by rough patches or speed breakers.
One of the strongest suits of the XL6 continues to be its fuel efficiency. With Maruti’s latest DualJet technology and Smart Hybrid system, the manual version claims around 20.97 kmpl, while the automatic variant offers 20.27 kmpl, making it one of the most economical MPVs in its class. These figures make it highly appealing for both personal use and fleet operations.
Safety features in the XL6 have seen a meaningful upgrade. Along with four airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability program (ESP), the car now comes with hill-hold assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and seatbelt reminders for all rows. These additions make the XL6 a reliable family hauler with a focus on occupant protection.
The 2025 Maruti Suzuki XL6 also introduces connected car features via Suzuki Connect, allowing users to track their vehicle, monitor driving behavior, and remotely operate functions such as AC and door lock/unlock. This positions the XL6 as a forward-looking offering that caters to tech-savvy urban buyers.
In India, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 2025 is available through Nexa dealerships and is priced between Rs 11.50 lakh and Rs 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and transmission. It competes directly with the Kia Carens, Toyota Rumion, and Renault Triber in its price range but stands out with its blend of premium styling, robust feature list, and Maruti’s extensive service network.
The XL6 continues to deliver what Indian families look for most — comfort, efficiency, and practicality — while also offering enough flair and technology to satisfy modern tastes. Whether it’s for daily urban use, weekend road trips, or even corporate fleet purposes, the 2025 XL6 remains a standout choice in the premium MPV segment.
