Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 A 452cc Liquid-Cooled Powerhouse Blending Urban Agility with Classic Roadster Charm.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is poised to be a bold new entrant in the mid-size motorcycle segment, targeting riders who want the versatility of a daily urban machine with the charm of a classic roadster. Expected to be based on the same platform as the Himalayan 450, the Guerrilla 450 will share the powerful Sherpa 450 engine — a 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit that delivers around 40 PS and 40 Nm of torque. This engine will likely be paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-assist clutch for smoother shifts and better rider control.
In terms of design, the Guerrilla 450 is expected to carry a more street-focused aesthetic than the Himalayan, with a cleaner fuel tank design, flatter seat, and shorter fenders. It will likely ride on alloy wheels with road-biased tyres, reinforcing its city-first purpose while retaining the DNA of Royal Enfield’s ruggedness and retro styling.
The ergonomics are expected to be more relaxed than the Himalayan, with a slightly lower seat height and more accessible riding position — ideal for urban commutes and occasional weekend rides. While the suspension setup is yet to be officially confirmed, it’s expected to come with USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear, tuned more for road dynamics than off-road travel.
On the tech front, the Guerrilla 450 is likely to feature the Tripper TFT instrument cluster first seen on the Himalayan 450, offering turn-by-turn navigation, smartphone connectivity, and essential ride data. Dual-channel ABS will likely be standard, enhancing braking safety for both seasoned and new riders.
Royal Enfield is expected to price the Guerrilla 450 competitively, around Rs 2.60 To Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom), undercutting its adventure sibling slightly while offering the same powerful engine in a more road-friendly package. With its combination of power, practicality, and classic RE appeal, the Guerrilla 450 could be a game-changer in the growing mid-weight roadster segment in India.
The motorcycle is likely to make its debut by mid-2025, with test mules already spotted multiple times in India, signaling an advanced stage of development. Enthusiasts and new riders alike are eagerly awaiting this model, as it promises to blend Royal Enfield’s timeless charm with modern performance and features.
