Suzuki enters the electric mobility market with the e-Access, offering a 95 km range, fast charging, and a sleek design for urban commuters.
Suzuki has unveiled its inaugural electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, marking a significant step into the electric mobility sector. This model is built upon the foundation of the popular Access 125, integrating Suzuki’s proprietary e-technology to ensure safety, reliability, and durability.
Key Features:
-
Performance: The e-Access boasts a maximum speed of 71 km/h and a peak power output of 4.1 kW. It offers an IDC-rated range of 95 km on a single charge, making it suitable for daily urban commuting.
-
Battery and Charging: Equipped with a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, the scooter supports multiple charging options. Using a standard portable charger, it can achieve an 80% charge in approximately 4.5 hours and a full charge in about 6.7 hours. For quicker turnaround, a fast-charging option is available, reducing the time to 80% in roughly 1.2 hours and to full capacity in about 2.2 hours.
-
Design and Features: The e-Access maintains the classic aesthetic of the Access 125, enhanced with modern touches. It features LED lighting for both headlamp and tail lamp, providing improved visibility and energy efficiency. The scooter is available in several color combinations, including Metallic Mat Black No.2 with Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and Pearl Jade Green with Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.
Suzuki e-Access Market Positioning:
The e-Access is set to compete directly with other electric scooters in the Indian market, such as the Honda Activa e and Bajaj Chetak Electric. It is anticipated to be priced between ₹1,00,000 and ₹1,20,000, with a tentative launch date in September 2025.
Availability:
While the exact release date is yet to be confirmed, industry expectations suggest that the e-Access will be available to consumers starting in September 2025.
Suzuki’s introduction of the e-Access reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions and aligns with the growing demand for electric vehicles in urban settings.
