Charging the battery takes approximately 4 hours using a conventional charger, with an optional fast-charging feature that can achieve a full charge in about 30 minutes. The electric motor generates 28 Nm of torque at 2800 rpm, propelling the bike to a top speed of 120 km/h and enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in just 4 seconds. Variants: Emote Electric plans to offer two variants of the Surge:

Surge 6K: This model features a less powerful motor, achieving a top speed of 100 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in 5 seconds.
Surge 10K: The higher-end variant boasts enhanced performance capabilities, including a top speed of 120 km/h and quicker acceleration.

Battery and Range: The standard battery configuration offers a range of 100 km per charge. Emote Electric provides the option to install up to two additional battery packs, extending the total range to approximately 300 km. Each battery pack weighs around 26 kg, and while additional batteries increase range, they also add to the overall weight of the motorcycle, which may affect handling dynamics.

Charging Options: The Surge supports charging at any Bharat DC001 standard public charging stations across India, with over 2,600 stations available. It also allows parallel charging of up to three batteries simultaneously, adding approximately 5 km of range per minute of charging.

Chassis and Suspension: The motorcycle employs a trellis frame for enhanced strength and stability. It features upside-down telescopic front forks and a horizontal unilink monoshock at the rear, designed to provide a balanced and comfortable ride across various terrains.

Braking and Safety: Braking components include a 300 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear, both equipped with ByBre calipers. The Surge also incorporates regenerative braking, which aids in energy recovery and enhances overall efficiency.
