The Vida Z is Hero MotoCorp’s latest addition to its electric scooter lineup, unveiled at EICMA 2024. Designed with a family-friendly approach, it features a wide seat, spacious floorboard, and a pillion backrest, emphasizing comfort and practicality.
Built on a modular architecture, the Vida Z accommodates multiple removable battery options ranging from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh, offering flexibility in range and performance. It is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), ensuring efficient and reliable performance.
The scooter’s minimalist design includes an LED headlamp with integrated daytime running lights, a digital instrument console, and a flat seat with a grab rail. Additionally, it features a flat footboard, enhancing rider comfort.
In terms of technology, the Vida Z is integrated with Hero’s MY VIDA app, allowing users to monitor vehicle health, track location, and immobilize the scooter in case of theft. It also offers multiple charging modes for user convenience.
The Vida Z has been spotted testing on Indian roads ahead of its anticipated launch later this year. The test mule was seen uncamouflaged, indicating that the production model is nearing readiness.
Upon its release, the Vida Z is expected to compete with other electric scooters in the market, such as the Ather Rizta, Ampere Nexus, and the TVS iQube.
The Hero Vida Z electric scooter is anticipated to launch in India around May 2025, with estimated ex-showroom Prices ranging between ₹1 lakh and ₹1.5 lakh. The Vida Z is expected to feature a modular battery system, accommodating capacities from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh, which will influence its pricing and performance.
