High Performance, Smart Features, and Sustainable Mobility in an Affordable Electric Bike.
The Okinawa Oki100 is an upcoming electric motorcycle from Okinawa Autotech, designed to offer a sustainable and efficient alternative in the commuter bike segment. Drawing inspiration from the Ducati Monster, the Oki100 features a distinctive design with an exposed red tubular frame, a sculpted faux fuel tank, and a compact tail section. The motorcycle is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster and is expected to incorporate full LED lighting, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality.
Performance-wise, the Oki100 is anticipated to reach a top speed of approximately 100 km/h, powered by a 3,000-watt BLDC motor paired with a 72V, 4 kWh lithium-ion battery. This setup aims to deliver a range of up to 150 km on a single charge, with the battery capable of fast charging in about two hours. The motorcycle is expected to feature 14-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on both ends, and a suspension system comprising telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Additional features may include anti-theft alarm, keyless ignition, central locking, GPS, geo-fencing, and mobile app connectivity.
Okinawa has emphasized that the Oki100 will be heavily localized, with all components manufactured in India except for the battery cells. As of February 2025, the official launch date is projected for May 2025. Prospective buyers are encouraged to stay updated through official Okinawa channels for the latest information on availability and specifications.
The Okinawa Oki100 is designed to revolutionize the electric motorcycle segment in India by offering a balance of performance, range, and modern technology. With its aggressive styling inspired by premium streetfighter motorcycles, it stands out with an exposed red tubular frame, sporty tank shrouds, and a compact rear section. The motorcycle’s sleek LED headlamp and tail lamp setup, along with a fully digital instrument console, add to its futuristic appeal.
Okinawa Oki100 Features:
Powering the Oki100 is a high-performance 3,000-watt BLDC hub motor, which enables it to achieve a top speed of 100 km/h. The motor is coupled with a 72V, 4 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is expected to provide a riding range of up to 150 km on a full charge. The battery supports fast charging, allowing it to be recharged in about two hours, making it a convenient option for urban commuters. Additionally, the bike offers multiple riding modes, optimizing performance and battery efficiency based on user preferences.
Riding comfort and stability are ensured by a telescopic front fork and rear monoshock suspension setup. The Oki100 rides on 14-inch alloy wheels, providing better grip and maneuverability, while front and rear disc brakes with regenerative braking ensure safety and efficiency. Advanced features like keyless ignition, GPS tracking, geo-fencing, mobile app connectivity, and anti-theft alerts make it a smart and connected electric bike.
Okinawa’s focus on localization means that the Oki100 is expected to be 98% made in India, with only the battery cells being imported. This initiative not only ensures affordability but also aligns with the government’s Make in India vision. The bike is expected to be priced competitively at around ₹1 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a strong rival to the Revolt RV400 and other emerging electric motorcycles in the market.
Scheduled for launch in May 2025, the Okinawa Oki100 is set to redefine urban mobility with its eco-friendly performance, modern features, and affordable pricing. As electric vehicles continue to gain traction, the Oki100 could be a game-changer in India’s evolving two-wheeler industry.
