Powered by a 300 HP Cummins engine, the Tata Signa 4830.TK FBV offers massive payload capacity, modern connectivity, and rugged reliability for the toughest jobs.
The Tata Signa 4830.TK FBV is a heavy-duty 16-wheeler tipper truck designed for demanding applications such as mining, construction, and large-scale infrastructure projects. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 6.7L Cummins ISBe engine, delivering a robust 300 HP at 2300 rpm and a peak torque of 1100 Nm between 1100–1700 rpm. This powertrain is paired with a 9-speed manual transmission (Tata G1150) and a 430 mm diameter clutch, ensuring efficient power delivery and durability.
The Tata Signa 4830.TK FBV is specifically engineered to cater to the rugged demands of heavy-duty applications like deep mining, overburden removal, and large infrastructure material transport. It stands out for its strength, durability, and low cost of ownership, which are critical factors for businesses operating in challenging environments.
The chassis frame of the 4830.TK FBV is made from high-strength steel with a C-type long member design, providing excellent structural integrity even under heavy loads and rough terrains. It comes equipped with a factory-built body (FBV), with body options typically available in 23 cubic meters and 19 cubic meters configurations, suitable for a variety of materials from coal to overburden.
The driveline features heavy-duty rear axles and a strong reduction ratio, optimizing the vehicle for heavy payloads while maintaining operational efficiency. The tipping hydraulics are also robust, allowing fast unloading times and minimizing cycle times at loading and dumping sites.
Tata Motors has incorporated its next-generation Connected Vehicle Platform (Tata Motors Fleet Edge) into the Signa 4830.TK FBV, enabling fleet operators to monitor vehicle health, fuel efficiency, driving patterns, and more in real-time. This not only improves operational control but also contributes to better maintenance planning and enhanced vehicle uptime.

Driver comfort is a major focus as well — apart from an air-conditioned cabin, features like an adjustable driver’s seat, ergonomic controls, tilt-and-telescopic steering, and reduced NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels make long hours behind the wheel more manageable. Tata has also introduced safety enhancements such as hill-start assist, engine brake, and exhaust brake to ensure safe operations even in hilly terrains or while carrying heavy loads.
Additionally, Tata Motors backs the Signa 4830.TK FBV with strong service support, wide availability of spare parts, and attractive warranty packages, making it a compelling option for companies looking to maximize their operational profitability.
With a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 47,500 kg and a wheelbase of 6800 mm, the Signa 4830.TK FBV offers substantial payload capacity and stability. It features a 10×4 axle configuration and comes equipped with bogie suspension at the rear, enhancing load-bearing capabilities and ride comfort. The truck is fitted with 16 wheels, using 11R20 tyres, and includes a 300-liter diesel fuel tank, providing a balance between range and payload.
The cabin is designed for driver comfort and operational efficiency, featuring a sleeper cabin with air conditioning, power steering, and a driver information display. Safety features such as ABS, parking brakes, and seat belts are standard, ensuring compliance with safety norms and enhancing driver confidence.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Signa 4830.TK FBV offers a mileage of approximately 2.5 to 3.5 kmpl, which is competitive in its segment. The ex-showroom price in India ranges between Rs 60.34 lakh and Rs 67.93 lakh, depending on the variant and optional features selected.
